Tubal Ligation Side Effects

Involving the procedure of tying tubes, tubal ligation has been existent for several years now. This procedure has been preferred by those women who don’t want to have children or the ones who already completed the number of family members they require. It is type of permanent female sterilization, which is considered to be very efficient.

Tubal ligation is a form of surgical procedure which involves the cutting, clamping or blocking of the fallopian tubes of a woman. Through this, it will prevent the eggs from going down to the female’s uterus. Furthermore, doing this procedure will also block the sperm cell from going through the tube in order to meet with the egg.

 

 

However, even though this procedure is very effective, women must be aware about a certain essential fact. Generally, tubal ligation is regarded as the permanent form of birth control. While reversal surgery might be available, there is no guarantee that such reversal process would work. There are around 70% to 80% of success pregnancy rates for the reversal of tubal ligation.
