Tongue Cancer Definition and Symptoms
Tongue cancer is a type of oral cancer affecting various parts of the tongue. The most common section of the tongue that is affected by tongue cancer is the anterior portion of the tongue. The prognosis for tongue cancer is typically good. Symptoms include persistent tongue pain, a white or red patch on the gums, tongue, or tonsils, a sore throat that will not go away, difficulty with moving the tongue or jaw, and difficulty swallowing.
