Many individual have probably seen Splenda in the market but not all are actually aware of its exact uses, benefits as well as the side effects associated with this. Advertisements might say that Splenda is an ideal artificial sweetener that is said to be a perfect substitute for sugar. However there are individuals claiming that this sweetener is healthy at first but becomes unhealthy after long period of usage. There have been several Splenda side effects that have been recorded and these makes individuals arguing about their different opinions and viewpoints.

Splenda is a known commercial name utilized for sucralose. Manufacturers of Splenda advertise this as natural sweeteners for the reason that the primary substance is derived from sugar. This sometimes sounds misleading for some individuals for this statement made consumers believe that sucralose is actually derived from sugar so as cheese coming from milk. Splenda is the trademarked brand of artificial sweetener that is sucralose based and proven to be sweeter than ordinary sugar hundred times.

The way on how sucralose is being produced is more complicate but to put it simple, Splenda is known to be a chlorinated sugar or chlorocarbon. Other common types of chlorocarbon include methylene chloride and carbon tetrachloride which are all dangerous and poisonous. Studies revealed that chlorine was proven to be toxic to the body and have the capacity of accumulating human system over time.

The reason why Splenda can be threatening to health is the fact that this molecule is chemically altered and if ingested poses serious risks to individuals. Individuals have to note that the body does not recognize this substance and is a not actually capable of dealing with it. This is contrary in the case of fructose, lactose and sucrose that we have been ingesting for thousands of years now.

For individuals who are aware of these things, they try to avoid this product also to save themselves from the unwanted Splenda side effects. However, there are still some individuals who opt to use this and have reported Splenda side effects resembling to severe allergic reactions. Other Splenda side effects are as follows:

2. Migraine
3. Rashes
4. Acne
5. Intestinal cramping
6. Bloating
7. Headaches
8. Gum bleeding

Some people experience other side effects such as chest pain, Tinnitus, gum bleeding, gastrointestinal problems, seizures, blurred vision, increase in blood sugar levels and weight gain. Individuals taking Splenda also complain about redness and swelling of the skin, breath shortness, stuffy nose, fluttering or palpitations, joint aches and pains, spaced-out sensations and anxiety.

There have been reports that further present and prove Splenda side effects. Reports made it clear that this artificial sweetener with sucralose as the key components pose a serious threat on individuals consuming the product. Hundreds of product users and consumers have complained about Splenda side effects. It is therefore fair to say that this product in small yellow package should carry a warning label. This is to warn and remind consumers of the possible side effects they might encounter during product usage.
