Right Upper Quadrant Abdominal Pain Definition and Symptoms
Right upper quadrant pain is any form of pain the upper right of the abdomen. This pain can be caused by many different disorders ranging from mild to severe. Some of the disorders that can be associated are liver and gal bladder diseases, lesions in the bowels, renal disorders, and endocrine disorders. The type of pain is a large clue as to what is causing it. There are three types of pain typically described in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, these are; stabbing, gripping, and burning.
