More pain will be felt once a specific joint or muscle related to the pulled muscle is moved or used. The pulled calf muscle symptoms will get worse as longer time elapsed that the injury is not treated. Eventually, it will lead to weakness in the affected muscle or even tendons. If it not treated at this point, there would come a time when an injured person will no longer be able to use the pulled muscle.
This will further lead to severe pulled calf muscle symptoms. The bad part of having this injury is that once it gets worse, it can even lead to damaging small blood vessels. This will cause local bleeding and pain. It occurs because of the irritation taking place in the nerve endings of the affected area.
These symptoms once felt can still be remedied at home. However, if these home remedies no longer provide the relief it offers within a 24-hour period, it will be better to visit the doctor. This way, the injury can be checked and treatments can be prescribed to relieve pain. It is also recommended to go to the doctor immediately once a popping sound is heard or if you have a hard time walking.
It would be beneficial if the person knows about some first aids that can be performed to prevent the injury from the getting worse. If you happen to have a pulled calf muscle, it is better to rest the affected.
