Pros and Cons of Raw Milk

There are different types of milk that are sold in the market. Some of them are pasteurized milk that already undergoes pasteurization processes in order to enhance the taste and nutrient content of the milk. But, there are people who are still drinking raw milk since they are considering the health benefits that they may acquire for unprocessed milks.

Raw milk, which is also known as unpasteurized milk, are primarily taken from cow or even goats and placed in bottles or immediately consumed. People tend to eat raw milk that is placed in the refrigerators since it is already cold and delicious to drink.

The Pros of Raw Milk

People who are still drinking raw milk are assured to get healthy benefits that are highly needed by their body. Here are some of the healthy benefits along with the advantages that people may be getting when they choose to drink raw milk:

1. Raw milk has higher nutritional content than other types of milk. This usually comes from cow that are gazing on grass. It also contains high amount of vitamins and all other nutrients to boost the energy of the systems of the body. Cows where raw milk came from are known to be the healthiest animals that are feed on grass.

2. People who are experiencing lactose intolerance may drink raw milk in order to completely relieve their suffering. Upon drinking raw milk, they will be guaranteed that they will no longer suffer troubles and pains brought by their intolerance.

3. Drinking raw milk is proven effective in preventing and treating several diseases. Upon extracting milk of the cow, you can immediately drink the milk, which is a good manifestation that no other chemicals are included in the milk.

4. The flavor and taste of raw milk is considered to be delicious, fresh and cool. The natural flavor and taste of raw milk is considered one of the reasons why people used to drink this type of milk.

5. This raw milk is produced in a community where there are huge number of cows and animals producing fresh milk. Hence, people need not to worry with the effects of manufacturing this milk.

6. It is also offered in its affordable price yet of high nutritional content.

The Cons of Raw Milk

Even if raw milk is more particular with the health benefits that they are supplying to the body and no other processes is involved, there are still speculations regarding the negative things that these might be giving the body. Here are some of the risks that people need to be familiar with drinking raw milk:

1. Although raw milk are considered to be fresh and healthy, these may also bring dangerous bacteria acquired by the cow such as Brucella, E. Coli and many other bacteria that may cause danger to the body.

2. Infectious bacteria that are brought by this raw milk may expose the body to some severe illnesses and diseases in the body.

3. People are not guaranteed that the raw milk they are going to drink is clean and fresh. By these, they need to make sure that they are going to be aware with the place and the type of cow where the milk came from.

Is It Good for the People to Drink Raw Milk?

People who used to drink their milk regularly must choose raw milk as part of their drinking habit provided that they are guaranteed of a clean and reliable raw milk provider. They should always assure that before drinking see to it that these would not be an additional health burden to them. Although raw milk has also its flaws, people can greatly emphasize how healthy this type of milk is.
