Pilonidal Cyst Definition and Symptoms
A pilonidal cyst is a pocket of skin that contains hair and skin debris. This type of cyst is nearly always located near the tailbone and top of the buttocks. Symptoms are pain, reddening of the skin, drainage of pus or blood, and foul smelling drainage from cyst.
