Peripheral Vascular Disease Definition and Symptoms
Peripheral Vascular Disease is the obstruction of large arteries anywhere in the body excluding the coronary, aortic arch vasculature, or brain. Symptoms include claudication; pain, weakness, numbness, or cramping in the muscles due to lack of blood flow. Also, sores, wounds or ulcers that heal very slowly or not at all, change in color and temperature in limbs, and decreased hair and nail growth.
