Overactive Bladder Definition and Symptoms
Overactive bladder is an issue with the bladder storage function that causes a very sudden and urgent need to urinate. The urges can be very difficult to control and stop and often lead to involuntary loss of urine. Some of the most common causes of overactive bladder are tumors, acute urinary tract infections, certain medications, enlarged prostate, and neurological disorders. Symptoms include a strong sudden urge to urinate, incontinence, frequent urination, and awaking two or more times in the night to urinate.
