Multiple Myeloma Definition and Symptoms
Multiple myeloma is cancer that begins in the plasma cells of bone marrow. Plasma cell help fight infections in your body. With multiple myeloma a group of multiple plasma cells become cancerous and multiply, causing a higher than normal level of plasma cells to be present. This affects the bones, immune system, kidneys, and red blood cell count. Symptoms include bone damage, fatigue, excessive thirst, nausea, and confusion.
