Lice Definition and Symptoms
Lice are parasitic insects that are found in the hair of people. They have six legs, and hook like claws which they use to grasp onto the strands of hair. They can be spread by basic contact with a person with lice, or clothing/belonging that have been infected. School children are the most commonly affected. Symptoms include a tickling feeling on the scalp, sores on the head, very itchy scalp, a feeling of moving in the hair, lice are visible in the hair, and irritability.
