Levoscoliosis Symptoms

When you are looking at yourself if you notice that you are curving to the left side you could have levoscoliosis. This is something that needs to be checked out. This is a very serious type of scoliosis.

Levoscoliosis

This is a type of scoliosis. Normally scoliosis is affected by a curvature in your spine. This could be in either direction. Levoscoliosis has a left side curvature. This particular type of scoliosis is more of a threat to your health. The reason for this is because with a left side curvature it is affecting your heart and putting it into danger. With all the different types of scoliosis out there this is the most dangerous.

There are different types of levoscoliosis. The functional one is the most common type. This particular one is where an individual isn’t born with any type of bone defect or do they have idiopathic scoliosis. This is where it would come from just wrong posture. If you sit too long in a particular position your body will develop into that shape. The best way to not develop functional levoscoliosis is to not slouch. If you have to sit all day try to take breaks and walk around before you sit down.

Symptoms of Levoscoliosis

Levoscoliosis symptoms could show at an early age. This could happen before a child would turn three if they suffer from infantile scoliosis. It could also show up later in their life. It is typical for women to be affected by this than men. It would also occur in younger individuals than older ones. The reason why it affects children and women is that children’s bones aren’t fully formed and women’s bones tend to be softer. This would make it easier for them to bend.

The individual will start with having back pain. They will find that their muscles that are by the offending parts of their spine will start by contracting and causing spasms. This is when the problems start in taking shape. The pain will start to decrease after a few months. At this point the individual will notice their posture has changed.

Scoliosis is a hard thing to live with. By doing the proper things now to help prevent it will be better for your health. Levoscoliosis is a dangerous type of scoliosis and all ways of preventing developing it would highly be recommended. Remember the most important thing: don’t slouch!!
