Iliotibial Band Syndrome Definition and Symptoms
Iliotibial band syndrome is a common knee injury caused by the overdeveloping, tightening, and rubbing of the hip bone or outer part of the knee. This syndrome is normally presented as lateral knee pain and caused by inflammation. Treatment can include stretching, strengthening, and additional; training regimens. Common symptoms of iliotibial band syndrome are pain on the knee or hip as well as a snapping hip pain as the band snaps back and forth.
