If a person is very used to rubbing his skin to another part of his skin, he can have the so called chafing disease. This is a kind of skin irritation which usually results in red sore scraps within the infected areas of the body. The most common parts of the body where the chafing usually occurs are the underarms, thighs, nipples, groin area, etc. You can feel pain coming from these affected areas that may serve as a burden for you as you do your daily activities and routines.

  • You can also make homemade lubricants by mixing vitamin E cream, aloe vera cream, petroleum jelly and any sufficient ointment. Lubrication of the affected areas will soothe them and avoid more chafing to take place.

 

  • Applying talcum powder or cornstarch will also help you in maintaining dryness through the affected area.

 

  • The calendula oil has the healing power equipped with antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Medical creams and ointments that contain the substance will eliminate the skin irritation that you have due to chafing.

 

  • Zinc oxide is also responsible for healing chafing. After treatment, mineral oil or olive oil is usually used in wiping off the zinc oxide substance.

Skin chafing should not be ignored and must be treated as soon as possible. Clean the area with water gently and let it dry after. Then, apply the treatment that you have chosen. If the affected area is swollen, painful and bleeding, consult a doctor and take the recommended medicated balm.

 

Give enough time for the chafing to heal fully before going back to your normal daily routine. If the suggested remedies will not help you fix the problem, then see your doctor as early as possible and take the necessary type of medication.
