Famous People with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

 
The Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is a group of heterogeneous inherited disorders wherein it decreases the integrity and strength of the tensile of your joints, skin and connective tissues. The connective tissue is being characterized by a synthesis collagen that is usually caused by the hyper extensibility of your skin, tissue fragility and hypermobility of your joints. There are some famous personalities who suffered from this condition and they are:

1. Corrie Cherylee

She was one of the leading characters in the movie of Michelle Keegan. She also worked as a TV host before she was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She experienced a remarkable flexibility of her skin in her entire body.

She suffered from this deficiency at the age of 11 when her doctor noticed that she had some of the symptoms of this disease. She also consulted various doctors who were proven expert in treating this condition. According to her, she experienced difficulty to point her toes during her dance classes when she was a child.

She also collapsed during her class as she was not able to control the symptoms. According to her doctor, the collagen in her body affected her loose joints and it made her body tissue fragile. She also had a stretchy skin and while she stands and walks for a long period of time, she felt extreme pain throughout her body.

2. Mylene Klass

She was one of the famous celebrity hosts who have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. According to her, she really doesn’t know the first thing that she needs to do when she was diagnosed with this kind of disorder. She decided not to inform her relatives and friends with the status of her condition but as time goes by, she admitted that she was also one of the sufferers of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. The extreme pain that she experienced was totally unexplainable and she already took a higher dosage of painkillers just to alleviate the pain.

3. Russell Kane

She was also one of the leading celebrity hosts just like Myleene Klass who has been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. According to her, this is one of the utmost challenges and trials that she encountered in her entire life.

She was not expecting to have this kind of condition but she acquired it at the early age. Some of her friends recommended that she undergo a therapy to alleviate the elasticity of her skin. As time goes by, she noticed that the effect of her treatments and medicines became ineffective in controlling and relieving the extreme pain she felt.

The constant pain in her popping joints and muscles is just like a feeling that you want to rip out your muscles out of your body. She was only able to have a deep sleep when she took medicines and acupuncture and physio treatments were the ones that helped her manage her condition.

The Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is a kind of collagen deficiency that serves as the glue of your body. It is not just associated with your skeletal, muscular, muscles and joints that is being hyper elastic. The Ehlers Danlos Syndrome has also the potential to lead you to vision problems, heart problems and brain problems.
