1. Lisa Bentley
Lisa Bentley is a world-renowned Canadian triathlon athlete and was diagnosed with a cystic fibrosis in her 20s. She has 20 Ironman titles under her belt, and continues to work hard despite her condition. She has surpassed the average life of a person with the illness, and continues to live an active life. She always stresses the importance of exercise and strict compliance to the CF treatment regimens to people living with the illness.
2. Fraser Brown
Fraser Brown was the son of the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. He was diagnosed with CF at early age. He got the cystic fibrosis as a result of routine screening tests for newborn babies. The finding on Fraser was a surprise to the Brown family as they are not aware that they carry the CF defect. Fraser is reportedly doing well. His story proves that routine newborn screenings can benefit people with CF.
3. Nolan Gottlieb
Norman Gottlieb is a former basketball player and now an assistance basketball coach at the Anderson University in South Carolina. He was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis during his childhood, but managed to survive long enough and live a happy life. He struggled with poor growth in his childhood, but he managed to grow as a 6’1” man when a feeding tube in placed in his stomach. He landed a position at the Anderson’s University varsity basketball team. Who among you is not familiar with Albert Einstein? Einstein is a world-renowned scientist who is known for his contributions to science and history. He is well known for his theory of relativity and specifically mass energy equivalence, which is expressed by the equation E=mc2. Einstein was believed to suffer from cystic fibrosis, which causes his death. Einstein died on April 18, 1955 at the age of 76. The cause of his death was internal bleeding due to the rapture on his aortic aneurysm, according to the Princeton’s Hospital in New Jersey.
