This is characterized by the way a person thinks and perceives certain situations, which is much different from “normal” people. They often manipulate and antagonize the people around them and have no regard for right or wrong. At the young age of 28 he was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the attempted murder of three different people. In court he proclaimed many times that he was not sorry for the things that he did and that the victims “deserved” it. This is a tell tale sign of antisocial personality disorder. The company soon began to decline, and as this was happening he strongly encouraged his employees to invest in more stocks, promising a rebound for the company. At the same time he was doing this, he began to liquidate over 300 millions dollars of his own stock. After the scandal was publicized Lay refused to speak out about his actions. This is a very strong indication that he suffered from anti social personality disorder. He had completely no regard for the effects that his actions would have on the thousands of people he lied to.
