Famous People with ADHD and Dyslexia

Justin Gatlin

He is an American Sprinter and an Olympic gold medalist. He was born on February 10, 1982. Justin can run fast and reach 100 meters in just 9.79 seconds and that is the reason why became the two-time world indoor champion in a 60 m dash. In 2006, he gained a positive result in the test for the banned substance. This was the reason why he lost his world record time in the 100 meters. But, he still went back in the competition in 2010 August. In June 2012, he joined the US Olympic trials. In this competition, he made a record of 9.79 seconds in 100 meters at the age of 30.

As time goes by, he suffered from ADHD. This is a psychiatric disorder that is typically associated with several issues in hyperactivity, acting impulsive, and attention. The signs and symptoms of this disorder were experienced by Justin. He looked for an effective remedy for his health condition. He always takes these medicines to prevent it from worsening. Until now, he is still taking medicines for continuous recovery and to prevent his disease from coming back.

2. Cammi Granato

Cammi or Catherine Michelle Granato was a retired American Ice hockey. She was the very first female who had been introduced in the Hockey Hall of Fame in November 2010. Cammi was the also the captain of the US women’s hockey team and her team gained a gold medal in the Winter Olympic held in 1998. She studied and graduated from Providence College. She was the younger sister of Tony Granato who was a former NHL player.

Cammi has ADHD since she was a child. When she felt the signs and symptoms of this health disorder, her parents brought her to the hospital to seek medical help. She had undergone several psychiatric treatments and took several medicines to make her feel comfortable. When she recovered from this condition, she pursued visiting her doctor in order to have the assurance that she is completely cured.

3. Jason Frederick Kidd

He is a professional and American basketball player who was born on March 23, 1973. In the National Basketball Association or NBA, he worked as the head coach of Brooklyn Nets. Aside from that, he was also the former point guard in National Basketball Association which helped him to be the ten-time NBA All Star. He was also the nine-time All Defensive Team Member and five-time in the First Team Member in NBA.

He was also one of those people who have ADHD. Just like the other famous artists, and architects, he also asked medical help about his condition. He did not ignore his health condition because he knew that there is a big possibility that it will affect his performance in the game. Through the help of his doctors, he always has a regular psychiatric treatment that helped him fight the signs and symptoms of it. Until now, he is still under treatments to maintain his good health condition.
