Epididymitis Definition and Symptoms
Epididymitis is inflammation in the coiled tube at the back of the testicle that stores and carries sperm. This is most commonly caused by a bacterial infection of a sexually transmitted infection such as gonorrhea. Symptoms include tender and swollen scrotum, painful urination, chills and fever, discharge from the penis, a lump on the testicle, painful intercourse, and blood in the semen.
