Difference Between Annuals and Perennials

Most people who love to garden know what the difference between annual and perennial is. But lets say that you are wanting to by plants for someone you love who is a gardener without having to ask them, because you want it to be surprise. So what would yo do? Well you can always find out at a garden store, or you can look it up online.

But for the most part annual means plants that you have to be planted every year. While perennial is plants you only have to plant once. So if you are the type of person who would only want to have t plant something once, and then just move on your way to something else, then your best bet is to go with perennial plants. But if you want to have a reason to dig in the dirt every year then you should go with annual.

Now there is a difference in pricing as well when it comes to both. Normally perennial’s are perennial’s are more expensive because they are only planted once, and will last year after year. But the annual plants are cheaper because they are made to be bought again when spring comes around. Now a lot of people do not realize what is a perennial plant and what is an annual plant.

A perennial plant is normally a plant like daises. You really don’t have to do much with them. But there are other perennial plants like roses that you have to trim and fertilize and what have you. So if you looking for a plant that doesn’t require much work, your best bet is daises, but if you want something that you do have to attend to, and you just feel that you really want them because they are pretty, then go with a plant like a rose.

An annual plant is something like petunias. Now you can take an annual plant and have it planted out in the garden during the summer and then bring it in for the winter and make sure it grows inside. But you need to figure out which plants can do both. Just because annual plants are planted every year does not mean that if you bring them in for the winter to grow that they won’t. It just means that if it is left out for the winter that it will not survive.
