Colon Polyps Definition and Symptoms
Colon polyps are commonly referred to as colorectal polyp. These are growths that occur in the lining of the colon or rectum. These growths may be benign or cancerous and are commonly removed to help prevent the development of additional polyps that can lead to colon cancer. Only a small portion of polyps can cause symptoms in patients to include bleeding.
