Amenorrhea Definition and Symptoms
Amenorrhea is the abnormal absence of a menstrual cycle. Some of the causes of this may be extreme weight loss, emotion or physical stress, rigorous exercise or severe illness. Symptoms include not developing menstrual cycles by the age of 16, and women who previously had a menstrual cycle that has stopped for three or more months without pregnancy.
