Allopathy VS Homeopathy

With the increase in the popularity of alternative medicines, the big debates regarding the efficacy of allophatic or traditional medicine as contrasted to homeophatic medicine emerge. Though both have common goal in terms of delivering treatments, it cannot be denied that each one differs when it comes to ways of achieving different goals. Allopathy vs homeopathy has been a continuing topic and many individuals are now getting interested in learning more about the distinction of the two.

Differences by Definitions

Allopathy is defined as the method of curing disease with treatments and remedies that deliver result different than those that cause the disease itself. This term is usually linked to the usual drug-based medicines that are included and recognized in the standard of care of most Western nations. This is a known method of fighting the disease with the use of treatments or remedies that produce effects similar to what the disease produce. The remedies are all man-made and synthesized and most of these are patented. The meaning of Allopathy can be best understood when homeopathy is completely explained. However, this method is just one of the many ways of approaching treatment or healing.

Homeopathy on the other hand is a particular healing method with the use of herbs, minerals or even substances derived from animals. This has undergone special preparation with an aim of augmenting their energetic and vibrational qualities. The remedies produce vibrational patterns and frequencies that are complex. These are also being used therapeutically in opening several body channels and thereby reducing common symptoms of the illnesses.

Differences by Principles

The traditional medicine was named Allopathy by Homeopathy founder Hahnemann. This seems to be translating to different sufferings. Taking for instance a traditional nausea prescription, this would be the medicine that works in suppressing the symptoms of nausea. Homeopathy sticks on the principle of stimulating the natural healing systems of the body. The symptoms displayed by an individual are said to be indicators of disturbances in the homeostasis, which is termed by Dr. Hahnemann as vital force.

Homeopathy outlooks the suppression symptoms whether this is by lifestyle or allopathic medicines as working in contrary to vital force and driving illnesses to deeper level that results to chronic condition. In contrast with allopathic treatment for nausea, Homeopathy prescribes medicine on Homeopathic preparation, which is usually potentized in nature.

Other Differences

There are other things that distinguish the two and these are as follows:

-Nature of remedies
-Doses, wherein homeopathy is proven to have lower doses of chemicals and herbs and animal and plant extracts as compared to allopathy.
-Toxicity level
-Costs
-Prescription methods
-Concepts

Allopathy vs Homeopathy has been subject of debates and arguments. However, there are records that have been cited that helps in distinguishing them from one another. It is highly essential to gain more knowledge and understanding about the differences between allopathy and homeopathy in order to determine which method is suitable on a case-to-case basis. This is not the complete list of all the differences of the two. There are others you can discover when you do some research.
