Home Remedies For Hyperhidrosis

It is very natural for a person to sweat whenever they are doing exercises, extreme activities and most especially if it is summer which is very soaring hot but if a certain individual is sweating much than the usual and even though they are only under mild temperature then this is already a sign of suffering from Hyperhidrosis.

What Is Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating. This is separated in to two types: the first one is the primary hyperhidrosis which is the main medical condition. There is excessive sweating on the face, feet, palms and armpits. The second one is the excessive sweating in secondary hyperhidrosis which is basically caused by other types of medical conditions or altered by taken medications. This is not just taking place on a specific area in the body but it is more generalized.

This is caused by so many factors including obesity, menopausal period, diabetes, infectious illnesses and a lot more. This can be treated with the use of antiperspirants, Botox, surgery and even taking oral drugs but aside from these, you may consider trying home remedies for hyperhidrosis.

Remedies

These home remedies for hyperhidrosis will help you in solving excessive sweating problems. All of the ingredients are mainly found in your kitchen thus giving you solutions which are all less expensive and are easy accessible. These include the following:

Tomato juice- drinking homemade tomato juice at least twice a week is a good alternative of preventing excessive sweating because it is rich in antioxidants and vitamins which are good for the body.

Witch hazel- this type of plant is considered to be rich in properties of natural astringents which are a good alternative as an antiperspirant especially in the face. It dries the skin gently as well as preventing the skin from getting any irritation. You can make brewed tea from its leaves helping in decreasing the effects of hyperhidrosis.

Potato- the easiest way of preventing excessive sweating is by the use of potatoes. All you need to do is to slice a potato then rub it on your underarms. Do this gently to avoid irritation.

Herbal tea- this is one of the proven ways of preventing hyperhidrosis most especially the herbal tea which is the Sage. This is rich in magnesium as well as vitamin B reducing the activity of the sweat glands in forming sweat. All you need to do is to brew it then drink it every day as you eat your breakfast.

Reduced iodine intake- there are studies showing that iodine is contributing to the effects of hyperhidrosis thus reducing intake of iodine is needed. Avoid eating foods such as broccoli. White onion and asparagus as well as liver, turkey and beef meats.

Apple cider vinegar- this is the best home remedy for those who are having foot sweating. They just have to keep their feet dry after bath then massage it gently with apple cider vinegar. They could also use tee tree oil wherein they can apply this directly to areas which are sweaty.

Baking powder and cornstarch- these two are effective for underarm sweating. Apply it on the underarm then wait at least thirty minutes before rinsing it with water.

The above mentioned home remedies for hyperhidrosis are all cost- effective providing you with effects which will be helping you in managing your hyperhidrosis.
