Dangers of Lucid Dreaming

Sleep dreaming is a part of the lives of all people. Most people may experience dreaming while sleeping. Dreams are manifestations of your inner subconscious. Some studies and research show that dreaming is the outcome the way people deal with their recklessness and subconscious of the mind. Dreaming is still a very broad topic for people. There are still many undiscovered things about dreams and how people obtain it. It is indeed a very interesting topic because it upholds mystery. Dreaming is seen to be a part of the lives of almost everyone because probably all individuals experience dreaming.

As of now, there is no current study that shows lucid dreaming as unhealthy or danger to the lives of all people in any way. However, some experts say that lucid dreaming is associated with some minor side effects that manifest possible dangers of it. Some people use lucid dreaming as their way to escape from the reality of life. It can make a person feel happy.

Lucid dreaming may also manifest the aspirations of one person. Lucid dreaming refers to a dream while the person is aware that he or she is dreaming. If you are experiencing this, you may have the capacity to manipulate the events of your dream. Basically, it is like that you are the director of your own dreams. Through lucid dreams, you can manipulate your dreams in accordance to your own desire. Some people love to experience lucid dreams because it serves as a way for them to experience the life and control their life to the way they want to.

What are the dangers of Lucid Dreaming?

Addiction- People use lucid dream for different purposes. Some people try it just for fun and a way to manipulate dreams to the way they want to. However, lucid dreaming can cause addiction to the people. If you think you are spending too much of your time in sleeping while trying to have lucid dreams and you think that your lucid dream is important than your real life, you should take a break for it might cause negative impacts to your life.

Dissociation- Lucid dreaming can relatively cause a person to create barriers between dreaming and waking up from it. Lucid dreaming may affect things between reality and fantasy and your conscious and subconscious mind.

Alienation- Some people really do not have any idea about lucid dreaming. Not open minded people may find it a crazy or a weird thing. Everyone may experience lucid dreaming and that is why you must not judge those people who are admitting they are experiencing lucid dreaming.

Waking Problems- People who are having a lucid dream may find it hard to wake up.

Accidents because of Lucid dreaming- There are some people experience some accidents while having a Lucid dream. It is important that you know how to handle your lucid dream properly so that it will not cause harm to your life.

Signs that Lucid Dreaming starts to manifest Bad Impacts on You

1. You do not remember some of your activities

2. Sense of familiarity in a place but you think you’ve never been in the place

3. Inability to recognize some of your family members and friends

4. Some objects may not seem real

5. Inability to remember some important events to your life
