Restasis Side Effects

Are you one of those who are suffering from chronic dry eyes? Most people who are consulting there Eye Care Professional have the most common problem of having dry eyes. This medical condition, greatly result to reduce the tears in the eyes due to irritation. The most common prescribed medicine for this kind of condition is Restasis, this medicine is used to increase the ability of the eye to produce tears. This medicine belong to the class of medications that are called inflammatories or immunomodulators and help to make your eyes moist and comfortable.

Understanding Restasis

Restasis are in the form of eyedrops, that is used to treat the eyes, with only a single drop of dose twice a day, one drop in the morning and repeat in the evening about 12 hours late, just be careful not to touch the tip of the vial in your eye and even in other surface because it might can cause eye injury or contamination. It is also important to use only one vial any time, after you are finish using one you should properly discard it.

Warnings for Using Restasis

Just like some other medicines, the use of Restasis has also some limitations and guide to be follow some of it are the following:

• If you are on medication of using Restasis, you should avoid using other eye drops unless you are told by your doctor to do so.
• While using Restasis, you should not wear contact lens.
• Do not use this medicine if you are experiencing any other certain medical conditions.
• The use of this medicine can cause some allergic reaction, so if you have any allergic problem.
• You should not this medication to others.

The Side Effects of Restasis

Along with the good effects of Restasis, in medication of dry eyes are also some of its side effects that can affect or not, the one who is under its medication. These side effects are normally experienced by the one using it, and it may just go away during the treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. To prevent some side effects, you must consult your doctor and ask how some possible ways that can help you prevent it.

Common Side Effects
Some side effects that you might encounter with the use of Restasis are the following:

• Watery eye, Blurred vision, Redness of the white part of your eye
• Eye pain, Difficulty in reading, Itching skin
• Discomfort of that there is something in your eyes
• Sticky eyelashes, Eye burning, Stinging

The use of Restatis, and the side effects that you might have experience are just normal effects that the medicine will bring to you. Aside from these mild side effects, there are no other greater risks that it can cause to you. But if you experience, worst affect than the others listed above, it is better to consult and report your doctor some of the other effects of Restasis that you experienced that you think is not already normal.
