7 Major Health Benefits of Juicing Fruits and Vegetables

Ultimate Guide to Juicing

Juicing For A More Vibrant Life

It’s a well-known fact that fruits and vegetables contain many of the nutrients essential for a healthy life. What most people don’t realize is the majority of those nutrients pass through the body without being broken down and processed. A simple way to get the most out of the healthy foods is by juicing them.

Benefits of Juicing

One of the many benefits of juicing at home is the nearly instant increased energy low pulp fruit juice provides. Beetroot juice helps to negate the effects of aging on the brain and Kale collards and broccoli juice help to strengthen bones. There are nutrients in fruit and vegetable juice that can prolong the life of cells which can lead to a longer life.

Centrifugal Juicers vs. Cold Press Juicers

There are 2 different ways to juice and it makes a substantial difference which style is used. Centrifugal juicers use higher speed rotations of 1000 to 30,000 RPMs while cold press juicers utilize low speeds between 70 and 120RPMs. unfortunately, the high speeds of centrifuge juicers can destroy vital nutrients. On the other hand, cold press juicers preserve the living enzymes in the juice.

Juice for centrifuge juicers is already subject to oxidation and it quickly loses its health benefits. For this reason, storing centrifuged juice is not recommended. Cold press juice can be stored for an entire day without losing its nutritional properties.

The Truth About Juicers

Juicers are very different from blenders because juicers extract only the liquid portion of fruits and vegetables and the pulp is separated. Juice from a juicer is free of fiber which can slow the body’s ability to absorb the nutrients. Juice made from home has no extra sugar and the sugar content can be reduced by adding vegetables rich in antioxidants such as broccoli and spinach.

A variety of delicious cocktails can be created by combining different fruits and vegetables. Leafy green vegetables hold the most nutrients and their bland taste can be combined with delicious fruit like strawberries and bananas to provide a healthy energy boost to those who drink them. Juicing is a great way for people who hate eating healthy to get the daily recommended amount of fruits and vegetables.

Fruit juice from a cold press juicer is quite possibly the healthiest food a person can consume. Cold press juicers separate the pulp from the juice to maximize the nutrient intake of every gulp. Remember that blenders are not juicers and the thick, pulp rich juice they make aren’t as healthy as those from a cold press juicer. Drinking homemade juice can increase a person’s energy, give them a full day’s supply of essential nutrients and provide them with free radical neutralizing antioxidants
