4 Narcissist Red Flags

Dealing with a narcissist can be a daunting challenge, for anyone. Living with a narcissist is harder than you can imagine. Not only should you try to spot the narcissist red flags but you should try to walk out when you still can. Once you become committed in a relationship with a narcissist or when you invest enough to be unable to walk away, there is very little that you can do to change things around you.

Every person in the world has at least one narcissist around them. That person could be a family member, a relative, a friend, a coworker, the boss or someone that one knows casually in the social circles. To identify such people, you need to look out for the narcissist red flags.

1. They are never wrong. You will never come across a narcissist who will be humble or will acknowledge their fault. They are always right. Even if they are not, they will present things in a way that will make others feel or believe that they are right. You will never be able to convince a narcissist that what he or she has done or what they think is actually not right.

2. A narcissist would be very bossy. It doesn’t matter if he or she is the coworker or even just a friend. They will have a tendency to dominate everything. Don’t be fooled if such a person allows you to do all the talking and apparently lets you make the calls. It is actually their way of taking control of things. When they think that your talking or making the calls will benefit them or get them to a result of their choice, they would allow it. In all other cases, you wouldn’t have any say. They would be the ones steering the ship.

3. A narcissist is extremely selfish. They will never allow anybody else or anything other than their own interest to get priority. It is their benefit, welfare or happiness against everything in the world. To get what they want, they would go to any extent. They can emotionally abuse you, control you in ways you cannot imagine and will to an extent suffocate you but you would still feel the need of that person. They would still be important for you.

4. A narcissist will always be charming, smooth, fast and appear to be an intellectual. When these attributes are combined with the aforementioned, they are surefire narcissist red flags.
