12 Amazing Benefits of Honey for Your Skin and Hair

Health Benefits of Honey

There Are Amazing Benefits Of Honey In The Name Of Beauty

Honey is not just something that bees make and that you place in your tea. There are 12 amazing benefits of honey to improve your beauty. When you are looking for new products to clean your skin, clear your pores, and generally enhance your level of beauty, you may need to look no further than your kitchen pantry.

How to Use Honey for Beauty

One of the top reasons that people use honey is because it is an excellent cleanser. It can clear up acne because of the antibacterial properties. It can be applied directly to the affected areas and then rinsed off about 10 or 15 minutes later.

Moisturizer
Honey can also be used as a moisturizer because it is capable of hydrating as well as moisturizing. Many people use it as a facemask and there are a number of DIY recipes available online in order to reap all of the benefits.

Scarring
If you have ever dropped honey on clothing without cleaning it up right away, you also know that it has a bleaching effect. This can be used to your advantage by using it on scars – new or old. This can reduce the overall appearance of scars so that they are hardly noticeable.

Natural Hair Conditioner
You probably go out of your way to prevent placing sticky things in your hair, however, honey should be the exception. It has two benefits. The first is that it can act as a natural conditioner. Mixing 1 tablespoon of honey with about 2 tablespoons of olive oil can soften your hair as well as add shine. The second is that it can lighten your hair. If you’ve ever wanted to obtain natural, sun streaked hair, honey can provide you with this look. You can mix 1 tablespoon of raw honey with 6 tablespoons of distilled water and apply it to your hair. You can apply it to the entire thing or just in streaks. If you add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to the mixture is well, you can get an even more astonishing effect.

Hair Removal
Hair removal is another part of the beauty process. If you’ve ever purchased wax at a beauty store in order to remove hair on your upper lip, your arms, your legs, or anywhere else, you may be wasting your money. If you combine honey with lemon juice and sugar, you have the ability to remove all of the excess hair you want. You simply boil the mixture on the stove or in the microwave, let it cool, and then apply it with a popsicle stick. Then place the cotton strip over it and remove the hair just like you would with wax.

Anti-Aging
There are over a dozen benefits to using honey in your daily beauty ritual. You can use it for anti-aging because of the antioxidants, as a lip scrub to exfoliate, as the skin scrub for eczema and psoriasis, and much more.

It’s important to understand all of the properties of honey. It is high in antioxidants, has a number of anti-inflammatory properties, and much more. When combined with various other natural ingredients, you can use it to reduce dark circles, exfoliate your skin, and generally look better than ever before.
